Thanks Desireé! It reminds me of the word "mayday" that I mentioned in class last week, do you remember?
ReplyDeleteMAYDAY: Mayday is an emergency procedure word used internationally in radio communications. It derives from the French "venez m'aider", meaning "come help me". The call is always given three times in a row "Mayday Mayday Mayday" (wikipedia)
Have you found another interesting origin???? Let us know!!!!
