  1. Thanks Desireé! It reminds me of the word "mayday" that I mentioned in class last week, do you remember?

    MAYDAY: Mayday is an emergency procedure word used internationally in radio communications. It derives from the French "venez m'aider", meaning "come help me". The call is always given three times in a row "Mayday Mayday Mayday" (wikipedia)

  2. Yes Sabrina!I remember of the word "mayday" ,it´s meaning made ​​me wonder about the different origins of the words.
    For example, I found the story of the word teddy bear,on the website that you recommended (www.saberingles.com.ar).It was named after the American president Theodore Roosevelt, whose nickname was Teddy!
