  2. Yes Danielle! Great! "How's it hangin'?" was not mentioned in class. It is American slang.

Are there any other new expressions???

  4. Hey! What's going on?
Norman's film someone greet him saying: how's it hanging? (como lo
    llevas).
The greeting don t tell in class are : Nothing much
Pretty good. Not so good. Not so well.
    The people from
    Australia habitually greet
    with a: How are you
    going?
    Not too bad.
It seems a pessimistic greeting according our
    traslation but they give it
    a pisitive meaning like if
    we answer : great. Or
    very well. Thank you.
    See you tomorrow.
    Goodbye.

  8. Hi!!! Nice to read all your answers!

Mabel, thanks for your Australian contribution ("G'day, mate!", "Hi", etc.).
Where did you get the information? It is a good idea to copy and paste here the URL of the sites you visit =)

Juan Alberto also refers to "Aussie" (Australian) greetings. Yes, Australians use "How are you going?" = "how ya goin?". And you are right Juan, in class, we didin't mention "Pretty good/ Not so well / Not so good", but we did mention "Nothing much"...
And again you are right, the reply "Not too bad" is a pessimistic one, I prefer "Great!" ;=)

Eduar, you are right "not so well" was not mentioned in class, but there are others we did not mention...

Thanks Leli for your nice greeting! =)

Hi Bibiana! How's life? Bibiana was my student last year and she is still visiting our blog. Bibiana, why don't you introduce yourself on the publication of March 5th, so that the students that are new can start getting to know you as well!! That would be great!

    See you soon!

    Sabrina

  9. I am Bibiana. Now, I am retired, but I was a dancer and I worked as teacher (dance and primary school). I am studying English because it is an activity that I always wanted to do but I couldn't do before. I worked a lot. During two years, my teacher was Sabrina, excellent teacher. This year, I go to 4° level, so I had to leave. But I want to continue working in the blog.
