Now, Let's review and expand!
1. Read the following real Yahoo Question HERE and all the answers it obtained. Then, leave a comment with your answers to these questions:
a. What is the best answer? What do you think? What answer did you like most?
b. What is the worst answer? What do you think?

c. Write a possible answer to the Yahoo Question taking into account what we learned in class. What would your answer be?
a. The best answer is: Try saying something along the lines of, "Not much. How about you?"

Danielle, usually in this type of sites people vote for "the best" or "the worst" answer. It is just an opinion, it is subjective. I think the best answer is the one that provides the most accurate/reliable/true information, or maybe the most original one...

Answers are not best or wrong. It depends: how , where and who asked you.

Sure Susana! That's why in this activity you have to determine what the "best" answer is (or the answer you liked most), from your particular point of view and give your reasons. (Example: "I think the best answer is X because it is short and the information is reliable" / or... "I think the worst answer is X because it is not clear and some pieces of information are not true or correct"... or "I think the worst answer is X because it is not polite...", etc.)
ReplyDeleteIt is very important to be able to determine the reliability (confiabilidad) of the information we find on the Internet. We cannot trust anything we find! We should be careful, critical. This is one of the objectives of this activity: to develop critical thinking!

Eduar, Leli and Natalia, congrats! You have given reasons for your choices! That is good! Since "the best" and "the worst" is a subjective decision, it is very important to give reasons, to say WHY something is considered best or worst.
